Setting 

The play takes place in the Apple’s living room. 

The furniture is comfortable, old, well-kept.  There’s a sofa with a chair downstage center.  A rocker is near the front window, upstage left.  Sunlight streams through the front window (or street lamp light at night).

The front door is upstage right.

Lucy Apple’s bedroom door is downstage left.

A hall doorway leading to other bedrooms of the house is upstage left.

The dining room doorway is upstage right.

A liquor cabinet is on the right wall.

The walls are covered in an older wall paper style. Pictures you would expect to find at Wal-Mart adorn the walls.
